I met this guy during my NYSC, we were just mere acquaintance then, nothing amorous existed between us until I rounded up my service year and left. He was a batch A Corper while I was a Batch C that precedes his batch. While back in Lagos after my service, 8months later, I got a call from this guy who professed his true love and genuine feelings towards me and he wanted nothing else but marriage. I don,t like to be rushed for anything, so i told him that we should be friends. Reluctantly , he accepted, but kept pressurizing me to accept him as my fiance, but I was skeptical cos I just didn’t feel right within me to marry a man younger than me ( 5yrs difference)! Besides, am mother of a 14years old boy, ( lost my hubby at 26). Now, it’s been 4 years and he still hasn’t given up on me even after telling him am a mother and older than him! Suspected Boko Haram insurgents butchered 7 travelers at Wala ‘A,’ Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State on Thursday, Punch reports. While one victim was identified as a patent medicine store owner from Gwoza, the other 6 were reportedly Gadamayo residents travelling to Maiduguri. According to the security source, the bloody attack took place as the military announced the arrest of one of the most brutal butchers of the Boko Haram sect in Maiduguri. The arrested 'butcher', specializing in killing people with machete, is said to have made the confession during interrogation by the Special Forces. It would be recalled that Nigerian Northeast has faced numerous attacks by the Boko Haram sect in the last 2 weeks, which attacks have taken away hundreds of lives and left many severely injured. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the ceremony marking his 77th birthday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday said that he did not know his real age. Obasanjo described the 77th birthday as his “official birthday”. He said, “There are those of us like me who have no real record of birth. I want to thank God once again for what He has done in my life. Whether I know the exact date of my birth or not, I think God has made my path glorious. “I was actually born on Ifo market day because according to my mother, she had prepared to go to the Ifo Market and Ifo market was every five days. And then she was in labour, before those who went to Ifo market could come back, I was born. “I know and she knew I was born on Ifo market day. Don’t ask me what year or month.”

Yahoo Inc will stop letting consumers access its various online services, including Fantasy Sports and photo-sharing site Flickr, by signing-in with their Facebook Inc or Google Inc credentials. The change, which will be rolled out gradually according to a Yahoo spokeswoman, will require users to register for a Yahoo ID in order to use any of the Internet portal’s services. The move marks the latest change to Yahoo by Chief Executive Marissa Mayer, who is striving to spark fresh interest in the company’s Web products and to revive its stagnant revenue. “Yahoo is continually working on improving the user experience,” the company said in a statement, noting that the new process “will allow us to offer the best personalized experience to everyone”.

Pedro Anegbe A 42-year-old father, Pedro Anegbe, has told an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court that a spirit asked him to rape his 15-year-old daughter to get a job. He said the voice ordred him to rape the girl shortly after he lost his job and was idle at home. Anegbe was arraigned on two counts for defiling his 15-year-old daughter (name withheld) at their home on Ifelodun Street, Fatolu Ipaja, Lagos State. The Investigating Police Officer, Sergeant Bakare Murtala, told the court his findings in the course of investigation. Murtala said, “The defendant is the biological father of the girl. She told us her father had sexually harassed her. We questioned him on his daughter’s allegation and he confessed to the crime.
