Footballer, Mikel Obi has praised Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji describing her as a lovely person. Mikel Obi and Genevieve Nnaji began their working relationship when they were both signed by Amstel Malta as ambassadors. Mikel spoke about the screen diva during an event organized for the Nigerian Breweries brand in Lagos. He said:
Arsenal have officially announced the signing of 17-year old midfielder Krystian Bielik from Legia Warsaw. The Poland international signed a long-term contract with the Londoners on Wednesday morning after he passed a medical last Friday. Krystian Bielik who had his senior debut for Legia Warsaw in August can play as a holding midfielder and also as a centre defender. His versatility will give him a chance to really thrive at Arsenal. Arsene Wenger was able to beat other clubs like Hamburg who were interested in signing the youngster. The transfer fee for Bielik is believed to be around £2.5million, which looks good for the signing of such a talented player.
T he National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said on Thursday that over 500 indigenes of Damboa in Borno state had fled to Gombe following insurgents attack in the area. This was contained in a statement signed by Sani Datti, NEMA’s Senior Information Officer, in Abuja. The statement said NEMA in collaboration with the Gombe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) registered over 500 people taking shelter in the area. According to the statement, the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), who have being stranded in motor parks and expressway in Gombe, are evacuated and registered in camps provided by the agency. It stated that the Assistant Director, Relief and Rehabilitation, Mr Saidu Minin, who represented NEMA’s Director-General, Muhammad Sani-Sidi, in a visit to the camp, urged the IDPs to be law abiding.
